Take a minute and get to know him

In his own words:

Whats good? For those who don't know me I go bye Lazie Locz. I'm a rapper/producer from Sacramento, CA.

I've basically been surrounded by music since i was born. My dad played in numerous bands and i grew up listening to all different kinds of music from Rap, R&b, Reggae and Rock. I recorded my first song with my cousin off a cell phone voice recorder.

From there we both had an idea of what we wanted to do with our lives so we linked up and became "Tha Heavyweightz". We stepped up our equipment, bought interfaces, new mics, midi controllers etc.

We showcased some songs to a couple our friends and they instantly were feeling it. So we started pushing it harder and got our first show in Auburn at "The Club Car". We then booked a tour called "Swaggfest 09".

Shortly after that my cousin moved and I continued to pursue my dream of becoming the dopest rapper alive. Ever since I've done over 30 shows, opened for big names, and even founded my record label PURE LIFE MONEY GAME ENT.

So now here I am continuing to push, and slowly but surely climbing my way to the top.

I'm currently working on a mixtape, and my freshman Album "Jus Doin Me

I think when I'm on stage performing or in my mode i just go harder then I do when I am not. Normally I hold back from new things or experiences.

Finding my record label and getting payed to do what I love is the best feeling ever.

What I like most about being in the business? You can be whoever you want, do whatever you want there's no limit to ones creativity.

My thought process when I'm working is just put the beat on and let my mind go. When I'm doing a more serious song i think really hard and put all i have into it.

My family inspires me, I want to be able to show them i can do anything I set my mind to.

How has my life changed since I began my career, well I've gotten a lot of recognition and attention. People think a lot higher of me now

Advice I have for those looking to pursue their dreams? If whatever your doing is what you really love and are passionate about it,  do it. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Try and drown out the negative and just go hard.

I want to be remembered as the dopest rapper alive and that anyone like myself can come from a struggle and turn it into something greater.

I'm headed to the top and I'm never stopping till i get there.
